CHARGING THE NISSAN LEAF IS EASY

Explore hassle-free charging at home or on the go, tapping into one of the ever growing public charging stations available across New Zealand.

AT HOME

The Nissan LEAF can be plugged into any standard 240V electrical socket. With a Type 2 charging unit supplied, the LEAF can reach full charge in around 7.5 hours, so you can charge overnight and start the day with a full 270km of range+.

ON THE GO

Along regional motorways to major shopping centres and office buildings, you can find public charging stations across New Zealand. Many public charging stations offer CHAdeMO charging, a fast charging system that charges the LEAF’s battery from 20% to 80% in just 60 minutes≠.

≠Figures quoted are for a 40kWh battery. Time dependent on charging conditions, including charger type and condition, battery temperature as well as ambient temperature at point of use. Indicated rapid charging time requires use of a CHAdeMO rapid charger. The Nissan LEAF is designed to support the majority of journeys in daily life and is equipped with charging safeguards to protect the battery during repeated rapid charging sessions in a short period of time. The time taken for successive rapid charging can take longer if the battery temperature activates the battery safeguarding technology.

LANE-DEPARTURE WARNING

This system gives you a visual and audible alert if it detects you’re straying from your lane. And it’s so smart, it’s designed to stop the alerts when you engage your turn signal.

Lane-departure prevention systems operate only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. Speed limitations apply. The system is a driver’s aid only and should not be used as a substitute for safe driving practices. Always monitor your surroundings when driving.

SINGLE-PEDAL DRIVING

Accelerate, brake and stop—all with one pedal. With the LEAF’s e-Pedal, just press down for an instant rush, and ease off to slow down. It’s a whole new way to drive that’s not only fun, but efficient. It can even add power back into the battery to help extend its range. Of course, your brake pedal is always there if you prefer to use it, or simply flip a switch to remain on regular two-pedal driving.
